Born and raised at the foot of Mt. Rainier, Washington state, Robert Howard Hunter has a special visual rapport with the breathtaking scenery of the Pacific Northwest.

He lives and paints at his studio in Skagway where he is able to drive to historic sites in Alaska and Canada for in situ artwork. He also maintains a private winter studio in Greenville, South Carolina.
